Eco policy

Green promo bags has an Eco policy to work with our partner manufacturers to research and identify improved manufacturing processes and to seek new and more environmentally friendly methods of manufacturing bags. We ensure the minimum use of unsustainable resources and materials and will wherever possible utilise recycled materials in the manufacture of our bags. Our partner factory is independently audited to ensure that both their international Ethical and their Manufacturing standards are maintained. Where possible we package our bags for transit so that excessive packaging is not used without compromising the quality of our goods. We can print our bags with specialized inks which minimise the use of solvents and lead-based paints.

Transport

Our policy is to encourage our clients to adopt an environmentally sound transport strategy by whenever possible choosing to ship goods by Sea where impact on the environment is lessened. Our bags are hardwearing, attractive and when printed are a walking advert for your company. They are also made from sustainable, recyclable and reusable material. People are looking for these types of products more and more, for the following reasons:

• Helping prevent global warming.
• Reducing destruction of natural habitats and loss of biodiversity.
• Conservation of remaining crude oil reserves.
• Reducing toxic emissions.
• Reducing landfill.
• Reducing litter.

In addition, our bags can be used time and time again. This reduces the use of polythene bags and of course, gets your promotional message to as many people as possible for a greater length of time.

The material guide

Non Woven PP in 80g & 100g

Recycled, cheap and reusable, it can be screen printed or laminated with film to enable high quality printing results.

Woven PP

Excellent quality and matt or gloss lamination film is glued to the material allowing high quality printing.

Natural Cotton in 100g, 140g & 180g

Natural cotton is reusable, sustainable and highly suitable for screen print or transfer print.

Coloured cotton

As above but dyed using low cadmium dyes.

Jute

Jute bags are natural, reusable and very durable. Jute is biodegradable and environment friendly.

Canvas 8oz, 10oz, 14oz and 16oz

Made from heavy natural reusable, sustainable cotton, gives an excellent screen print result.

What the symbols mean

Symbol	Meaning
	Recycled - Having been used before and then processed so that it can form a new product.
	Recyclable - Manufactured in order that it can be used again.
	Ethical - manufactured adhering to ethical and moral principles and conforming to accepted standards of social or professional behaviour.
	Sustainable - supply of materials is able to continue over a period of time causing little or no damage to the environment.
	Biodegradable - Able to decay naturally and harmlessly. Biodegradable products and packaging helps to limit the amount of harmful chemicals released into the atmosphere.

Artwork Guidelines

We require artwork from PC created files supplied using the following software:

• Illustrator
• Photoshop

CS3 and earlier versions are acceptable. In some cases we can accept high resolution 300 dots per inch(dpi) PDFs.

MS WORD files cannot be accepted.

Fonts

For Illustrator - all fonts, including those placed in images and EPS's MUST be included. We cannot print out high resolution films without these fonts.

Multi colour work

Please supply a colour hard copy with all digital artwork. If not being printed in the 4 process colours (CMYK) all colours must be spot colours preferably pantone. Each different colour should be on a separate layer where possible, this enables us to add grips and bleeds, where necessary. Try to keep all artwork in the same software, we prefer Illustrator. Guidelines for designs and supply of artwork on disk or via email.
